Stainless Steel Wing Seals
The seal that locks stainless banding closed - its wings fold down over the band and hold it at full tension on pipes, vessels and jacketing.
Product Details
A band is only as good as the seal that closes it. Wing seals are formed from the same stainless steel as the banding, and once the band is tensioned the two wings are folded down over it, locking it in place without a crimping tool.
Grades and sizes
- Grade 304 for general industrial service
- Grade 316 for coastal, offshore and chemical environments
- Sized to suit 13, 15, 19 and 25 mm banding
- Matched to the grade of the banding they close
How they are fitted
- Pass the band around the insulation and back through the seal
- Tension the band with a banding tool
- Bend the band back over the seal and cut it
- Fold the wings down over the band to lock it

Each seal is sized to its band. We match them to our 13, 15, 19 and 25 mm stainless banding.
